Armstrong™ Hardwood Flooring by Hartco® Century Farm™ Hand-sculpted Collection Hickory - Honey Butter.

Want to bring the freshness of the outdoors in this Spring - and for every season thereafter?

Think of redoing your home’s floors (walls and trim, too!) with wood. Not only does wood add a true touch of Mother Nature to your home, according to bankers and real estate agents, wood also adds to the resale value of your home.

From a designer’s standpoint, wood’s many attractions are that it goes with just about any décor, it will probably outlast your house if taken care of, and it gets more beautiful as the years progress. Wood even feels good underfoot.

Because wood is a natural product, it is nearly impossible to prevent it from showing its “experience” - those dents and scratches which record life’s events in your home. However, aluminum oxide finishes (factory finishes) do help floors maintain their original good looks longer. There are other finishes, too, like hard wax oils to enhance the finish of the floor.

The popularity of wood flooring continues to grow along with the homeowner’s fascination with global design influences. Just witness the addition of more and more exotic woods from South America, Australia, the Far East and Africa as well as China and Russia. Speaking of Russia, there are beginning to appear Siberian wood products which are not stained but rather dyed with various colored oils, resulting in looks such as natural, white and black.
